Congratulations to the first official Padi Giant Kelp Restorers, who conducted a specialist course with Eaglehawk Dive Centre that has been designed in conjunction with the Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies.
Divers learned how to seed giant kelp, identify and garden competing species, as well as cull invasive urchins.
They are now able to contribute in future outplanting dives conducted under permit to help revive the iconic Giant Kelp forests of Tasmania and support habitat restoration on our Great Southern Reef.
