The area from Eddystone Point, line of latitude 40° 59’ 35” south to St Helens Point, line of latitude 41° 16’ 30” south is closed. This area will open to commercial fishing on 1 March 2023.
The North East Catch Cap is set at 100 tonnes for the 2022/23 quota year commencing 1 March 2022.
The North East Catch Cap area encompasses waters east of Point Sorell around to St Helens Point, including the Furneaux Group of Islands. See the map below for details of the exact boundary lines.
