North East Catch Cap

The North East Catch Cap area opened to commercial fishing on 1 March 2024. The area is CLOSED to commercial fishing from 00:01am on Tuesday 1 October 2024 until 00:01am on Thursday 10 April 2025.       

The North East Catch Cap has been set at 100 tonnes​​ for the 2024/25 quota year commencing 1 March 2024.

The North East Catch Cap area encompasses waters east of the line of longitude 146° 32' east off Point Sorell  around to latitude 41° 16' 30" south off  St Helens Point, including the Furneaux Group of Islands (see map at bottom of this page). Please note GPS coordinates are in degrees, minutes, seconds, if using a different GPS format the coordinates must be accurately​ converted.  ​
