The Tas eFish app is the Tasmanian Government’s digital reporting app for commercial fishers to lodge all of their usual commercial telephone reports, for example prior fishing reports, changing port reports, and cancellation reports. It has been developed as part of the Fisheries Digital Transition Project.
Digital reporting is now available for abalone, commercial dive, shellfish, rock lobster and giant crab fishers to fulfil their reporting obligations, as an alternative to the telephone reporting process.
The app will make routine reporting simpler and faster.
All reporting requirements remain the same. Fishers are responsible for ensuring information entered into the app is complete, accurate, and submitted in line with licence conditions.
Who can use Tas eFish to report?
Tas eFish is currently available for:
- Commercial rock lobster fishing
- Commercial giant crab fishing
- Commercial abalone diving
- Commercial dive fishing (urchins, periwinkle)
- Commercial shellfish fishing (clams, native oysters)
Access to the app is being rolled out by fishery. If you are eligible, your login details will be provided directly to you.
