The longspined sea urchin has become established in Tasmania as a result of warming waters along the East Coast representing a significant range extension for this species from Australia's mainland.
A management strategy is being developed to provide a framework to apply controls to this urchin in Tasmania for the benefit of community, the environment and fisheries.
