Due to the extended Scalefish Rules Remake process:

• Sticker rulers and plastic tacklebox rulers will not be available until 2027.
• A 2026-27 Recreational Sea Fishing Guide will not be available. In its place, a shorter 2026-27 Recreational Sea Fishing Rules Update is available to order.

When giving products to fishers

We ask you to please:

• Encourage fishers to use the Fishing Tasmania website or Fishing Tas app. These sources will always have the most up-to-date rules and information.
• Provide the 2026-27 Recreational Sea Fishing Rules Update to fishers who do not use digital resources. The Sea Fishing Rules Update summarises rules that have changed since the 2025-26 Guide was printed. It should be used with the 2025-26 Guide to understand all rules that apply.​
  

Can I still distribute the 2025-26 Recreational Sea Fishing Guide?

Yes, however if you provide a Guide, you must also provide a 2026-27 Recreational Sea Fishing Rules Update.

Availability of the 2025-26 Guide is limited, so we recommend only providing it to fishers who do not already have a copy.​
