Tagged Fish

​If you catch a tagged fish, please report it to the Ins​titute for Marine and Antarctic Studies​

When you report a tagged fish, please provide:

• tag number
• fish species and size
• sex (for rock lobster)
• date and location of catch

Additionally, every reported sand flathead and rock lobster tag goes into the regular IMAS Tag Lottery Draw for the chance to win great prizes throughout the year.

IMAS have mutliple tagging programs underway, including:

• abalone
• rock lobster
• flathead
• trumpeter
•  banded morwong
• shark
