We run a range of events to engage and educate fishers and the wider community including fishing clinics and discovery days. You can also catch up with staff and volunteers at regional fishing and community shows and events.

Fishcare run all fishing clinics and events in accordance with COVID safety guidelines.
If the weather is poor, the event may be cancelled and you will be notified by email.
You only need to book tickets for active participants. Family members welcome to come along.

Public Clinics
- Everyone is welcome, see dates and times above.
- All ages and levels of expertise are welcome.
- If numbers exceed safety levels, participants actively fishing on the platform may be limited, but everyone gets a turn!
- Parents are responsible for supervising their children.
Community Group Clinics
Not open to the public, organised with Fishcare by prior arrangement. Contact one of our Coordinators (contact details below) if your group is interested in organising a clinic.
What to bring
- Rods and gear are available to use.
- We have PFDs - Fishcare may ask you to wear one.
- Bring warm clothing, sun protection, food and drink if required.
What will I learn?
- Basic fishing skills including casting, knot tying and rigging.
- Responsible fishing such as measuring, handling and releasing your catch.
- How to have fun in the Tassie outdoors!
