The Abalone Fishery Advisory Committee (AbFAC) advises the Minister on issues related to the commercial abalone fishery.
Meetings
There are usually four AbFAC meetings each year, depending on work schedule and issues. Most meetings are held in Hobart over one day. From time-to-time meetings may be held in other locations to provide an opportunity for wider industry to meet committee members and to get involved in the AbFAC process.
AbFAC meetings are not generally open for observers; however, an open session may be held prior to a meeting or the Chair may invite people to attend discussion of a specific agenda item.
