Local fishing facts
- King Island has some of the best land-based fishing in Tasmania, with beach offering catches of sweep, snapper, salmon and gummy shark. There is excellent jetty access at Naracoopa and Currie Harbour.
- From a boat you can also catch King George whiting, bluespotted flathead, barracouta, school and mako shark, garfish, squid, sea sweep and luderick.
